Just yesterday I had two students who had graduated in December, and were packed and about to head out for the next stage of their journey in Texas. One of the students, Prasanthi, was starting an internship at another university, and I had written her letter of recommendation. Both students had been regulars for their two years here and help helped with meals and Coffee and Chai with Dr. G. Prasanthi had tears in her eyes as she hugged me and said, Dr. G, Thank you for everything! They then went into the chapel to pray and came back to ask me to say prayer for them. We made a quick picture, and they went on their way. After they left, I went down the hallway and wept for bit myself. I had barely collected myself when I heard the front door open. I brand new international student who had just arrived a couple of days early from Bangladesh was looking for help. This story is just a little bit of what life is like around here.
